Infection Prevention & Control Champion

The Infection Prevention & Control Champion Workshop is designed to develop frontline healthcare professionals who can serve as effective advocates, role models, and facilitators of infection prevention practices within their departments.

IPC Champions act as an important link between frontline clinical teams and the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control program. They help reinforce standard precautions, monitor compliance, identify infection risks, support surveillance, promote appropriate isolation practices, encourage hand hygiene, and participate in quality-improvement initiatives.

This six-hour interactive workshop equips participants with practical knowledge and leadership skills covering standard precautions, transmission-based precautions, healthcare-associated infection prevention, hand hygiene, PPE, environmental infection control, sharps and exposure management, surveillance, audit, outbreak recognition, antimicrobial stewardship awareness, and practical IPC improvement activities.
